International Society for Asphalt Petrology e. V.
The International Society for Asphalt Petrology e. V. (ISAP) was founded in 2014. It is dedicated to the promotion of science and research in connection with the matter of asphalt petrology. This new discipline uses petrological methods for researching the composition and behavior of asphalt.
The aim of the society is to improve the sustainability of asphalt roads. An important component is the training of technicians and scientists. For this purpose, the association organizes seminars, lectures and visits and supports research projects of other technical or scientific societies.
